More Ships in the Japanese Seas

The Syren (510 tons), returned to London from the Japanese Seas on 21 April 1822 with 346 tons of sperm oil after a two year voyage. This success encouraged year at least nine British whalers to cruising on this ground in 1823, and this year twenty-four vessels British vessels are sailing there.
